On 17 June 2026, Ashulia Women and Children Hospital (AWCH) organized a scientific seminar
titled "Precision in the Peritoneum: The Role of Laparoscopy and Mesh in Hernia Repair."
The seminar was delivered by Asso. Prof. Dr. Sumon Rahman, Senior Consultant, Ashulia
Women and Children Hospital, who presented an insightful discussion on the latest advances in
laparoscopic hernia repair and the effective use of mesh to improve surgical outcomes.
The session was chaired by Dr. Md. Dabir Uddin Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of
Ashulia Women and Children Hospital.
The seminar was attended by a large number of consultants, physicians, and nurses from the
hospital. The interactive session provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing,
professional discussion, and the exchange of clinical experiences among the participants.
