Ashulia Women and Children Hospital (AWCH) organized a National Dissemination Meeting on its project titled “Reducing Unnecessary Caesarean Section in Bangladesh,” funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, at CIRDAP yesterday.
Md. Sayedur Rahman, Secretary, Health Services Division, and Prof. Md. Abu Jafor, Director General of DGHS, graced the occasion as the Honourable Chief Guest and Special Guest, respectively. The session was chaired by Dr. Dabir Uddin Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of AWCH.
The meeting featured insightful presentations by Prof. Ferdousi Begum, Prof. Anjuman Ara, and Prof. Khurshid Talukder. Prof. Soofia Khatoon delivered the closing remarks.
The event was enriched by the participation of renowned obstetrics and gynecology professors, policymakers, senior government officials, clinicians, and representatives from partner hospitals, fostering meaningful dialogue and shared learning.
