- Avoiding unnecessary caesarean section: To avoid unnecessary caesarean sections AWCH is playing a lead role. It can be considered as a beacon for other medical service providers. When the rate of caesarean section in privately owned hospitals in the county is about 90% or more, the rate in AWCH is only 35%.
- Promotion of breast feeding by lactating mothers: Mother’s milk is the divine blessings for the children. But unfortunately the practice is fast plummeting. AWCH always motivates and trains pregnant and lactating mothers to breastfed their children. It has specially trained persons to train the mothers in breastfeeding babies.
